On August 10, 11, and 12 of 2018, Tom and I hosted A JAM IN THE ROCKIES, a camping and music event at Penitente Canyon, a public recreation area in Saguache County, CO, not far from the town of Del ?Norte. About thirty-five people came to trade tunes, enjoy the Southern Colorado cool fresh air, and watch the Perseid Meteor Shower in a brilliant night sky. As a warm-up, Wildwood Sounds Concert Venue in Del Norte hosted TEXAS IN THE ROCKIES, a songwriter showcase featuring Al Barlow of New Braunfels, Bob “Zen Bubba” Williford of Dallas, Howe 2 of Oak Cliff, and Konnie Kennon and myself as Two Sisters Pass. Sunday, many of the jammers met me at my Boogies Sunday Folk Music Breakfast gig, which I turned into an open mic, BREAKFAST IN THE ROCKIES. We were able to give a sizable kitty to one of the Boogies staff who was dealing with sizable medical expenses, and a good time (and good breakfast) was had by all.

I think we’ll do it again in 2019!
